Con A is a widely used mitogen that can activate T cells, relying on helper T lymphocytes (Th) and macrophages to exert its effects. Con A activates T lymphocytes and stimulates Th cells and macrophages to produce cytokines such as TNF - α and IFN - γ. TNF - α can directly damage liver cells, leading to liver cell apoptosis. The pathological characteristics of Con A induced mouse liver injury experimental animal model are mainly immune liver injury caused by activation of T lymphocytes. After intravenous injection of Con A into mice, most of it accumulates in the liver, indicating that the liver is the target organ for Con A induced toxicity in vivo.

Observation indicators

Hepatocellular necrosis, inflammation of the portal area, infiltration of monocytes into liver parenchyma, disruption of liver sinusoid structure, and upregulation of AST and ALT levels.
